INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (for ONE item) Seems High. Can You Explain This and How I Can LOWER SHIPPING Cost Per Item
We take backer care and shipping at a fair rate very seriously. So we deliberated for a long time on how to best ship (all of our items and bundles) - including single items Internationally - in an efficient, secure and protective way.
Unfortunately, when we selected the best overall shipping solution, cost to ship ONE item (with required customs data and tracking) in a heavy-duty, padded mailer - Internationally - ended up costing more than than the cost of backing One (1) Tiny Survival Guide.
We could figure no way around this using our current systems - because most of the shipping cost is based on the size and weight of the rugged 6” x 9” (15cm x 23cm) mailers we use.
We have had a LOT of success using these mailers Internationally. They are tough and will protect your rewards and ensure they get there in perfect condition, which was our primary objective, while balancing (and taking into consideration) the overall shipping costs of ALL backer levels.
The upside of this packaging and shipping solution is that the cost to ship a FIVE PACK Internationally is only $17 or $19 USD depending on your location. And a FIVE PACK Bundle (Including 5 Cards and 5 Guides) is only $25 USD Internationally.
Now… if you are in the USA, shipping for a single item in our tough padded mailers is only $3 USD shipping per single item (and Card / Guide Bundles)… and $4 USD for a FIVE Pack.
The bottom line is that regardless of where you are in the world, we have attempted to do our best to pack and ship your rewards in a way that gets them there in perfect condition, in a trackable and secure way - at the lowest possible shipping cost to you.

Q: HOW TO ADD-ON ITEMS - and - WHAT WILL ADD-ON ITEMS COST?
A: This is a GREAT question. We make adding additional items to your pledge easy… but it happens after the campaign ends. Once the campaign ends, every backer will be sent an email. The email will take you to the our Add-On Item Page. There you will be able to select additional guides, cards and other cool items (that I am working on now - which didn’t make the campaign launch). OR you can just pass by the “add-ons” and only get what you pledged for in the campaign. Pricing of add-ons for our Backers will be at “Early Bird Special” pricing to honor all of you who have supported this project. - Please let me know if you have any further questions on this campaign and I will add answers to this “FAQ” Section. Q: Does the Knife on the Tiny SURVIVAL CARD Come Sharpened?
This is a fantastic question. No, the knife does not come pre-sharpened. You will do this on your own. We will show you how to do it. By the time you receive your order we will have an entire online user guide that will step you through how to use the guide and the card. The online guide will have at lease one video on how to sharpen the knife. I’ll be demonstrating how to sharpen it using a diamond stone and a belt sharpener. Q: Will the Tiny Survival Card Magnet Affect Credit Cards?
This is a great question. Our magnet is fairly weak @ around 200 gauss (gauss is a way of measuring the field strength of a magnet) - but more than strong enough to hold the Tiny Survival Card tools in place. Generally speaking hotel room keys and gift cards require 300+ gauss to re-write / demagnetize. Credit cards require a field strength of 3,000 - 4,000 gauss to re-write / demagnetize. So the Tiny Survival Card magnet IS not only credit card safe - but room key and gift card safe. To prove it, I recently tested one of our magnets on a hotel key card by putting the magnet right up against the magnetic strip of the card. I kept them both - together - in my wallet for two days. The key card was unaffected and worked just fine opening the hotel room door lock. Credit card magnetic strips require 10X+ more field strength than hotel room keys - so our magnetic base will NOT erase your credit card data. I Hope this helps. What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
